Tailscale
Tailscale is a zero-config mesh VPN built on WireGuard that creates secure, private networks between your devices, servers, and cloud infrastructure — without the complexity of traditional VPNs. It uses a peer-to-peer mesh architecture, meaning devices connect directly to each other rather than routing through a central gateway, resulting in faster connections with lower latency. Tailscale is widely used by remote teams, DevOps engineers, and small businesses as a modern alternative to legacy corporate VPNs.
Setting up Tailscale takes minutes: install the app on each device, authenticate with your identity provider (Google, Microsoft, Okta, GitHub), and devices automatically discover and connect to each other with end-to-end encryption. There are no firewall rules to configure, no port forwarding, and no IP address management. Tailscale handles NAT traversal automatically, connecting devices even behind restrictive firewalls and carrier-grade NAT.
The platform includes access control lists (ACLs) defined as code, enabling fine-grained permissions for who can access what. Tailscale Funnel exposes services to the public internet with automatic HTTPS. MagicDNS provides human-readable hostnames for all devices. SSH access can be managed through Tailscale SSH without distributing keys. The admin console provides device inventory, user management, and network activity logs.
Key Features: WireGuard-based mesh VPN with peer-to-peer connections, zero-config setup with identity provider authentication, end-to-end encryption between all devices, automatic NAT traversal (works behind any firewall), access control lists (ACLs) as code, MagicDNS for device name resolution, Tailscale SSH (no key management), Tailscale Funnel for public HTTPS endpoints, subnet routers for connecting legacy networks, exit nodes for secure internet browsing, multi-factor authentication support, SSO with Google/Microsoft/Okta/GitHub, admin console with device management, audit logging and compliance features, and apps for Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS, Android, and NAS devices.
Pricing: Personal plan is free for up to 100 devices and 3 users. Starter plan at $5/user/month includes up to 50 users, custom ACLs, and admin controls. Premium plan at $18/user/month adds SCIM provisioning, posture management, and advanced features. Enterprise plan with custom pricing for large organizations. All plans include unlimited data transfer. No bandwidth caps or throttling.
Use Cases: Secure remote access to office and home networks, DevOps access to cloud servers and Kubernetes clusters, connecting self-hosted services across locations, remote worker secure internet browsing via exit nodes, IoT device management and remote access, accessing NAS and home lab services remotely, replacing legacy corporate VPN infrastructure, securing development and staging environments, multi-cloud networking between AWS/GCP/Azure, and team access to shared databases and internal tools.

The paid upgrade, Looker Studio Pro, adds enterprise features like team workspaces, linked assets, Google Cloud SLA, and admin controls at $9/user/month. Third-party data connectors may have separate costs (e.g., Supermetrics starts at $39/month for connector access).
Use Cases: Marketing campaign performance dashboards, Google Analytics and GA4 reporting, SEO performance tracking with Search Console data, social media analytics reporting for clients, e-commerce sales and revenue dashboards, agency client reporting and white-label dashboards, Google Ads and PPC performance monitoring, financial KPI tracking from Google Sheets data, website performance and UX analytics, and executive summary dashboards combining multiple data sources.
Rarible
Rarible is a multi-chain NFT marketplace and creator platform that allows artists, brands, and communities to create, buy, sell, and trade non-fungible tokens (NFTs) across Ethereum, Polygon, Tezos, Immutable X, and other blockchains. Unlike centralized competitors, Rarible is community-governed through the RARI token and offers both a consumer marketplace and enterprise-grade infrastructure for building custom NFT experiences.
The platform supports multiple NFT standards including ERC-721 and ERC-1155, enabling single editions, multi-editions, and collection-based minting. Creators can mint NFTs with no upfront gas fees using lazy minting, set royalties on secondary sales (enforced on-chain), and create auction or fixed-price listings. The marketplace features collections, trending items, activity feeds, and advanced search with filters for price, chain, and collection.
Rarible also offers Rarible Protocol — an open-source, multi-chain NFT protocol that developers can use to build custom NFT marketplaces, minting flows, and trading experiences. This white-label infrastructure aggregates listings across major marketplaces (OpenSea, LooksRare, X2Y2) so custom storefronts get instant liquidity. Brands like Adobe and Yuga Labs have used Rarible infrastructure.
Key Features: Multi-chain NFT marketplace (Ethereum, Polygon, Tezos, Immutable X), lazy minting with no upfront gas fees, creator royalties on secondary sales, auction and fixed-price listings, collection creation and management, Rarible Protocol for custom marketplace development, order aggregation across OpenSea/LooksRare/X2Y2, RARI governance token, verified collections and creator profiles, advanced search and discovery, multi-edition and single-edition NFTs, built-in wallet support (MetaMask, WalletConnect, Coinbase Wallet), floor price tracking and analytics, IPFS and Arweave decentralized storage, and API and SDK for developers.
Pricing: Free to create an account and browse. Minting is free with lazy minting (buyer pays gas on first purchase). Rarible charges a 1% service fee on sales for both buyers and sellers. Creators set their own royalty percentages (typically 5-10%). Gas fees vary by blockchain (Polygon and Tezos have near-zero gas). Rarible Protocol is free and open-source for developers building custom solutions.
Use Cases: Digital artists minting and selling artwork as NFTs, music NFTs for independent musicians, brand and IP licensing through tokenized digital assets, gaming item creation and trading, community membership passes and token-gated access, photography collections and limited editions, generative art drops and PFP collections, enterprise NFT marketplace development via Rarible Protocol, event ticketing and proof-of-attendance tokens, and charity and fundraising through digital collectibles.
