Tim Johnson is the creator behind Truck House Life, one of the most popular truck camper and overlanding YouTube channels with approximately 651,000 subscribers and over 89 million total views. Based in Alaska, Tim documents life on the road in his self-built truck camper, combining overland adventure content with practical how-to education.

His content covers building custom truck campers and flatbed setups, overlanding adventures across Alaska and remote wilderness, extreme outdoor sports (skiing, climbing, kayaking) from mobile base camps, vehicle modification and off-road build tutorials, product reviews for overlanding gear and equipment, off-grid living systems (solar, water, heating), budget overlanding tips and DIY solutions, trip planning for remote destinations, winter camping and cold-weather overlanding, and the lifestyle economics of full-time vehicle living.

What makes Truck House Life exceptional is the combination of stunning adventure cinematography with genuinely useful DIY content. Tim does not just show beautiful places — he teaches viewers exactly how to build the rigs that get you there. His self-built truck camper content has inspired a wave of DIY truck camper builders, and his willingness to share build details, costs, and mistakes makes the content incredibly valuable.

Tim monetizes through YouTube ad revenue (651K subscribers, 89M+ views), brand partnerships with overlanding and outdoor gear companies, affiliate links for vehicle parts and camping equipment, merchandise sales, and sponsored adventure content. The overlanding market has grown to $4.5B+ globally, driven by post-pandemic demand for outdoor travel and the growing "van life" adjacent movement.

For Moonlite users, Truck House Life shows how adventure lifestyle content combined with practical education creates a highly engaged and monetizable audience. The truck camper and overlanding community is passionate, high-spending (average rig builds cost $10K-$100K+), and deeply loyal to trusted creators. Tim has built a genuine media brand from a truck and a camera in Alaska.
