Tattooing 101 is the world's largest online tattoo education platform, founded by professional tattoo artists who are reshaping how aspiring tattooers learn the craft and build profitable tattoo businesses. The platform offers comprehensive online tattoo training programs as an alternative to traditional apprenticeships, covering everything from tattoo technique fundamentals to the business side of running a successful tattoo shop.

Content covers how to start a tattoo business and open a tattoo shop step-by-step, tattoo machine setup, technique, and equipment mastery, building a tattoo portfolio and attracting clients, tattoo apprenticeship alternatives and self-taught tattoo artist paths, licensing, permits, and health regulations for tattoo businesses, pricing strategies for tattoo artists and shop owners, marketing and social media strategies for tattoo artists, managing a tattoo studio including hiring artists and handling finances, tattoo industry trends and business opportunities, and creating multiple revenue streams as a tattoo professional (flash sales, merchandise, online courses).

What makes Tattooing 101 exceptional is their position as the pioneer in democratizing tattoo education. Traditionally, becoming a tattoo artist required securing a coveted apprenticeship — a process that is notoriously difficult, exclusive, and often exploitative. Tattooing 101 disrupted this model by creating the first comprehensive online tattoo training program, making professional-grade tattoo education accessible to anyone with the passion and drive to learn. Their YouTube channel serves as a massive free resource hub with tutorials on technique, business, and career development. The platform has trained thousands of students who have gone on to open their own shops and build thriving tattoo careers. Their content goes beyond just the art — they heavily emphasize the business side, teaching tattoo artists how to think like entrepreneurs.

Tattooing 101 monetizes through their flagship online tattoo training courses and certification programs, YouTube ad revenue and sponsorships, tattoo supply partnerships and affiliate marketing, premium mentorship and coaching programs, their website tattooing101.com with educational resources, and community membership with ongoing support and training.
