Jay Clouse is the founder of Creator Science (formerly Creator Science Newsletter) and one of the most thoughtful educators on the business of email marketing and content creation. His Creator Science newsletter has grown to over 50,000 subscribers, and his podcast features in-depth interviews with top creators breaking down their growth strategies. Jay previously founded Unreal Collective, a community for freelancers and creators, and has been recognized as a LinkedIn Top Voice. He approaches the creator economy with a rare combination of analytical rigor and creative storytelling.

Content covers email marketing strategy — list building, segmentation, nurture sequences, and conversion optimization, newsletter growth — organic and paid acquisition strategies for building a loyal subscriber base, content repurposing — turning one piece of content into multiple formats across platforms, creator business models — sponsorships, courses, memberships, consulting, and digital products, audience growth on YouTube — SEO, thumbnails, retention, and the algorithm, podcast growth — distribution, guest strategy, and monetization, building a personal brand — positioning, storytelling, and differentiation in crowded markets, email copywriting — subject lines, hooks, and calls-to-action that drive engagement, community building — creating spaces where your audience connects with each other, and analytics and experimentation — using data to optimize content performance across platforms.

What makes Jay exceptional is his commitment to transparency and rigorous analysis. He regularly publishes detailed breakdowns of his own business — revenue numbers, growth metrics, experiments that failed, and strategies that worked. His podcast interviews go deeper than surface-level tips, pulling out specific tactical details and strategic frameworks that listeners can immediately apply. Creator Science has become a go-to resource for creators who want to treat their content as a real business rather than a hobby. He is particularly strong on email marketing, where he shares detailed case studies of newsletter monetization, growth experiments, and engagement optimization that go far beyond generic advice.

Jay monetizes through Creator Science newsletter sponsorships, The Lab — his premium membership community for creators, online courses on audience growth and email marketing, podcast sponsorships, consulting and speaking, YouTube ad revenue, and his website creatorscience.com.

For Moonlite users, email marketing remains the highest-ROI channel for creators and businesses. Unlike social media followers, your email list is an asset you own — not subject to algorithm changes or platform risk. Jay Clouse and Creator Science provide the strategic and tactical education needed to build, grow, and monetize an email list effectively. Whether you are starting a newsletter business, using email to sell courses and products, or building an audience you can reliably reach, Jay's data-driven approach to email and content marketing is invaluable.
