Jake Meeks is a veteran tattoo artist and the host and driving force behind Fireside Tattoo Network — the premier tattoo industry education and community platform. Through the Fireside Podcast, Fireside Technique video series, and Fireside Weekly blog, Jake has built the most comprehensive resource hub for tattoo professionals looking to improve their craft, grow their businesses, and navigate the evolving tattoo industry.

Content covers tattoo business management — running a profitable tattoo studio from operations to finances, advanced tattoo technique tutorials and breakdowns from industry veterans, building and retaining a client base as a tattoo artist, tattoo pricing strategies and how to increase your rates sustainably, the business of running a multi-artist tattoo studio, apprenticeship guidance — what to look for and how to structure mentorship, tattoo industry trends, convention coverage, and market analysis, marketing and social media strategies for tattoo artists and studios, interviews with successful tattoo artists sharing business and creative insights, and navigating challenges like burnout, creative blocks, and industry competition.

What makes Jake and Fireside exceptional is their credibility within the professional tattoo community. Unlike platforms that target beginners or hobbyists, Fireside Tattoo Network serves working professionals — established artists looking to refine their craft and grow their businesses. The Fireside Podcast features in-depth conversations with some of the most respected names in tattooing, covering topics that range from technique and style development to business strategy and mental health. The Fireside Technique video series provides premium educational content that is used by both individual artists and studios as training resources. Their blog (Fireside Weekly) covers industry news and business insights. Fireside has become the trusted resource that tattoo shop owners recommend to their artists for professional development.

Jake monetizes through the Fireside Tattoo Network platform subscriptions and premium content, the Fireside Podcast sponsorships from tattoo supply companies, Fireside Technique premium video series, brand partnerships with tattoo equipment and supply manufacturers, speaking engagements at tattoo conventions and industry events, and the website firesidetattoo.com with educational resources and community features.

For Moonlite users, the tattoo industry is booming. The US tattoo market exceeds $3 billion annually and is growing steadily as tattoos become increasingly mainstream — 32% of Americans have at least one tattoo, rising to 41% among millennials and 36% among Gen Z. Tattoo artists earn $40,000-$150,000+ annually depending on location, reputation, and business acumen. Studio owners who manage well can earn $200,000-$500,000+. The industry has strong recurring demand — many tattoo clients return for additional work, creating a built-in repeat customer base. Entry paths include apprenticeships (typically 1-3 years) or alternative training programs. Jake Meeks and Fireside Tattoo Network provide the professional development resources that separate struggling artists from thriving tattoo business owners.
