Hannah Smolinski, CPA, is the founder of Clara CFO Group and a popular YouTube creator with over 55,000 subscribers, where she shares practical financial advice and bookkeeping/accounting education for small business owners. She has built Clara CFO Group into a thriving virtual CFO firm while simultaneously using YouTube to educate thousands of aspiring and practicing accountants and bookkeepers.

Content covers how to start and grow a bookkeeping or accounting business, understanding financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow), virtual CFO services explained and how to offer them, QuickBooks tutorials and workflow optimization, pricing accounting services for maximum profitability, the difference between bookkeepers, controllers, and CFOs, building recurring revenue in an accounting practice, cash flow management for small businesses, hiring and scaling a bookkeeping firm, and financial literacy fundamentals every business owner needs.

What makes Hannah exceptional is her dual perspective — she is both a successful practitioner running Clara CFO Group AND an educator teaching others how to replicate her success. Her content bridges the gap between technical accounting knowledge and real-world business building. She explains complex financial concepts in plain language, making her videos valuable both for aspiring bookkeepers learning the trade and for small business owners trying to understand their own finances.

Hannah monetizes through Clara CFO Group (her virtual CFO firm serving small businesses), YouTube ad revenue, her Financial Clarity podcast, speaking engagements, and consulting. Her firm demonstrates exactly what she teaches — a profitable, scalable accounting practice built on virtual delivery.

For Moonlite users, Hannah represents the modern accounting entrepreneur. Virtual bookkeeping and CFO services can be delivered from anywhere, with startup costs under $1,000 (computer, accounting software, and professional liability insurance). Virtual CFOs charge $1,000-5,000+ per month per client, making this one of the highest-earning service businesses to build. Hannah shows the clear progression from bookkeeper to controller to virtual CFO — each step increasing your value and earning potential.
