Daniel Batal is a professional video editor and YouTube educator who teaches aspiring editors how to build profitable freelance video editing businesses. With over 200,000 YouTube subscribers, Daniel has become one of the leading voices in the video editing business education space. He runs a successful freelance editing business himself, working with major creators and brands, while simultaneously teaching others how to replicate his success. His content stands out for being practical and business-focused — not just teaching editing techniques, but the complete business of being a professional video editor.

Content covers starting a freelance video editing business — from learning to edit to landing your first paying client, finding video editing clients — cold outreach, networking, social media, freelance platforms, and referrals, pricing video editing services — project-based vs. retainer pricing, rate negotiation, and value-based pricing, video editing workflow optimization — project management, file organization, and efficient editing techniques, Adobe Premiere Pro tutorials — editing techniques, shortcuts, effects, and workflow tips, building a video editing portfolio — creating sample edits and showreels that attract high-paying clients, scaling a video editing business — hiring subcontractors, building a team, and moving into production, client management for editors — communication, revisions, feedback loops, and setting expectations, transitioning from hobbyist to professional editor — the mindset and business skills required, and the business of YouTube editing — working with content creators, understanding the YouTube format, and adding value beyond basic cuts.

What makes Daniel exceptional is his focus on the business side of video editing rather than just the creative craft. Many editing tutorials teach you how to use software, but Daniel teaches you how to turn those skills into a sustainable, high-income career. He is refreshingly transparent about his own earnings, client acquisition strategies, and the challenges of freelance life. His content addresses the specific challenges that freelance editors face — feast-or-famine cycles, scope creep, difficult clients, and pricing confidence. He provides actionable templates, scripts, and systems that editors can immediately implement. His community of editor-entrepreneurs is active and supportive, providing accountability and networking opportunities.

Daniel monetizes through his freelance video editing business (working with creators and brands), YouTube ad revenue (200K+ subscribers), online courses on building a video editing business, editing templates and preset packs, consulting and mentorship for aspiring editors, and his YouTube channel and website.
