Ben Robinson, CPA, is the founder of Bookkeeper Launch (formerly Bookkeeper Business Launch) and one of the most prolific educators helping people start virtual bookkeeping businesses from home. His training program has enrolled over 9,200+ students and his goal is to train 25,000 bookkeepers. He also hosts the popular I Love Bookkeeping podcast.

Content covers how to start a bookkeeping business from scratch with no prior experience, step-by-step bookkeeping fundamentals (debits, credits, reconciliation, financial statements), finding and landing your first bookkeeping clients, pricing bookkeeping services for profitability, using QuickBooks and other accounting software, transitioning from employee to self-employed bookkeeper, building a virtual/remote bookkeeping practice, scaling from solo bookkeeper to bookkeeping agency, tax preparation basics for bookkeepers, and building recurring revenue through monthly retainer clients.

What makes Ben exceptional is his structured, proven system for taking complete beginners and turning them into confident, practicing bookkeepers. His Bookkeeper Launch program is one of the most reviewed and recommended in the space, with thousands of success stories from graduates who have built five and six-figure bookkeeping businesses. His CPA background gives him the credibility and deep knowledge to teach not just the basics, but advanced strategies for growing a bookkeeping firm.

Ben monetizes through the Bookkeeper Launch course and community (subscription-based), the I Love Bookkeeping podcast, speaking engagements, affiliate partnerships with accounting software companies, and coaching. His platform at Bookkeepers.com serves as the central hub for his training ecosystem.

For Moonlite users, bookkeeping is one of the most accessible and in-demand service businesses to start. No degree is required, startup costs are minimal (a computer and accounting software), and bookkeepers charge $30-80+ per hour or $300-2,000+ per month per client on retainer. With millions of small businesses needing bookkeeping help, demand consistently outpaces supply. Ben Robinson provides the complete roadmap from zero experience to running a profitable bookkeeping practice, making this one of the fastest paths to self-employment with high earning potential.
