I’ve been wondering about something with dropshipping and customer data. When we pass a customer’s address to a supplier so they can ship the order, what’s stopping that supplier from reaching out to the customer later?
This feels especially risky for products people reorder every month. In theory, a supplier could just cut the store out completely. Someone told me the safest option is using a warehouse or fulfilling orders yourself so suppliers never see customer info, but that gets expensive really fast.
So how do you protect customer data and prevent suppliers from going direct to your customers without moving to full warehouse fulfillment?
