I’m about to start dropshipping and I’ve already done my product research. Now I need help on one thing I see people doing dropshipping in two main ways.
One is building their own website using Shopify or WordPress and selling directly from there.
The second way is selling through Amazon by creating a seller account and listing products on their platform.
Both options look good, but both also have costs. Shopify has monthly fees and app costs, Amazon has its own fees and rules. Since I’m just starting out, testing products is my main goal and I don’t want to lose too much money in the beginning.
So my question is, for beginners, which option makes more sense when you’re still testing products and don’t know if they’ll work yet?
Is it better to start with your own Shopify store, or is Amazon a safer option for testing in the beginning?
