Agents who escaped the 9 to 5.. was it actually worth the instability?

Real estate agent

I keep going back and forth on this.
Part of me is desperate to get out of the 9 to 5 loop the meetings, the approvals, the feeling that my life is just scheduled blocks on someone elses calendar. Real estate looks like freedom from the outside.. but everyone keeps warning me about the instability, the slow months and the pressure of being fully responsible for your own income.

I read a thread from agents who left six figure jobs to go full time in real estate and the responses were all over the place. Some people said it was the best thing they ever did more control more time more life. Others said the inconsistency nearly broke them especially in the first couple of years.

For those who actually made the jump. Did you ever seriously consider going back to a stable paycheck? and what was the biggest shock once you were out of 9 to 5 and fully on your own?
