I made around $10k in 3 months on gumroad selling digital products and ebooks.
Everyone kept saying the same thing, build your audience first on insta or tiktok and then start selling, but I didn’t do that at all. Building an audience felt way too time taking for me so I didn’t wait, I just started selling first on reddit.
I went on reddit, quora and twitter and just started looking at what problems people were posting about and what kinda solutions they were asking for.
I didn't go after those big generic problems, I picked the super specific like, how do I deal with burnout or my anxiety is getting out of control what do I even do.
then I wrote ebooks around those problems. nothing crazy, not some long book. just short simple ebooks with actual solutions. I used a Canva template and turned it into a pdf so anyone can read it in like 10 mins. priced it at $9.99
my first ebook took me like 9 hours to write and then I just started sharing it in reddit comments wherever people were asking literally the same problem.
After that I launched more ebooks on a couple gumroad accounts in different niches and right now I have like 8 ebooks total and together they hit around $5k a month
one thing I’ve learned is people don’t always buy solutions for the big problems, they buy solutions for small annoying problems they want fixed fast.
