I’ve been trying for weeks to figure out how to get my first online sale and today I just randomly checked my email and saw “you got a new order”
My heart legit dropped for a sec.
It was my first ebook sale and it felt like such a big win for me. I don’t have any audience or fancy setup, no email list, no ads, nothing. I just wrote a small ebook on parenting tips, something I actually understand well. It’s not some perfect 200 page book or anything, just simple and helpful. Writing it was easy tbh, the real struggle was like, how do I even get someone to read it.
While researching, I ended up on medium and noticed people there weren’t just posting random stuff, a lot of them were sharing their own stories and kinda guiding readers naturally to their products. It didn’t feel salesy so I was like ok let me try the same thing.
I wrote one post on medium about my ebook topic. Super simple, just my experience, nothing pushy.
At the end I added:
“btw I made a small ebook on this if anyone wants to go deeper”
and dropped the link.
At first literally nothing happened. no likes, no comments, no views. I honestly thought I wasted my time lol.
But after a couple days I checked again and people started reading it. Not a crazy number but like 80-100 views.
And then today that email came. someone read the post, clicked my link and actually bought the ebook.
That one small sale kinda changed my confidence. Made me feel like okay maybe I can do this. I dont need followers or huge ads to start, I just need to put something real out there and let people find it.
I’m already working on my next ebook now. Still learning, still figuring things out, but that first sale gave me the push I needed.
If anyone here is struggling like I was… trust me it’s possible. you don’t have to be perfect. just start with whatever you have.
