So you’ve decided to sell your ebook. When I started like 2 years ago, I also had a lot of confusion and messed up a bunch of things. so im just sharing everything in a simple way so you can avoid the same mistakes and start getting sales faster.
1. Create your ebook
First pick a topic. choose something you already know about, something you like talking about, and something that can actually help people.
Try to keep your text structure well formatted with headings, bullets, spacing, page breaks, etc.
After the writing part, choose a good ebook design. Canva has a bunch of premade ebook templates you can use to make it look nice.
Once you finish writing, export the book as a PDF. Most ebooks online are sold as pdf anyway.
2. Pricing
In the beginning keep your price low, like $5 to $10. later if you feel your ebook gives real value, you can increase the price anytime.
3. Publish your ebook
For beginners, gumroad is honestly the easiest. its simple and made for digital products.
Upload your ebook on gumroad and turn on the “pay what you want” option.
this way people can pay more if they want to pay extra.
You can list your ebook on amazon or other places later, but for starting out, gumroad is the best.
4. Promote your ebook
You can promote your ebook through meta ads, instagram posts, sponsors. If you already have some followers, just share your ebook with them. And if you have a small budget, run simple insta ads with your gumroad link.
Keep things simple. dont overthink your first ebook. It doesnt have to be perfect. you can always update the pdf later and re-upload a better version anytime.
