Every time I search for remote customer service work, I keep running into the same problem,, either the pay is way too low ($12–$15/hr) or the listing wants me to pay for “training” upfront. Honestly, it’s exhausting.
I refuse to believe there aren’t legit companies out there paying $20–$24/hr for U.S.-based reps. I’ve heard of a few (like American Express, maybe?) but I haven’t seen much beyond that. If anyone here has managed to land one, it’d be great to know what’s real vs. just noise.
