I’ve been running a roof cleaning business for a little while now, and honestly, it’s been a mix of rewarding and challenging. The work itself isn’t complicated, but getting consistent clients is harder than I expected.
Some of the biggest challenges I’ve faced: dealing with unpredictable weather, pricing jobs fairly without undercutting myself, and making sure safety is always a top priority, one slip and it’s a disaster. Marketing is another thing; a lot of people don’t realize they need roof cleaning until they notice a problem, so educating clients is part of the job.
Still, the satisfaction of seeing a roof go from dirty and moss-covered to clean and looking new is worth it, and the repeat business from happy clients keeps me going.
