At the beginning I kept my rates low, around $30–40 a night, but once I had a few reviews and regulars, it went up closer to $60–100 depending on whether pets were involved. The key for me was being reliable, keeping things super tidy, and sending updates (people love photos of their pets).
It’s not a full-time income for me, but it’s flexible, easy to combine with remote work, and honestly a nice way to save on rent if you line up longer stays. Definitely one of those underrated side hustles that pays off if you’re consistent.
