I’ve seen so many mixed numbers online about software engineer salaries, but it’s hard to know what’s actually real. Some people say they’re making 200k+ at big tech, while others barely clear 50–60k starting out.
If you’re comfortable sharing, how much do you actually earn as a software engineer? And is it worth all the hype people put around it? I’m trying to figure out if it’s really as lucrative as everyone makes it seem, or if it depends way more on company/location/experience than people admit.
