I used to scroll past all those posts about selling Notion templates and thought it was one of those things that only worked for influencers. But I ended up testing it out for myself this summer, and to my surprise it actually worked.
What I did was pretty simple: I made a template based on a system I already used every day, then I used free AI tools to make it look more polished and to help me with the product copy. I didn’t want to mess around with websites or costs, so I just uploaded it to Gumroad.
The real game changer was Instagram. I made a small page and started posting quick tips and short clips showing how the template works. No face, no fancy setup, just screen recordings with some text on them. Over time people started downloading, and a chunk of them bought the paid version.
It’s definitely not a full-time income, but it’s one of those things where you build it once and it keeps earning here and there. Honestly, it feels way more doable than I first thought.
