I’ve been looking into mystery shopping lately and it seems like a legit side hustle if you pick the right companies. The problem is, there are also a ton of shady ones that either don’t pay or make you buy random stuff and never reimburse you.
For those of you who’ve done it, what’s the best way to actually make good money from mystery shopping? Do you just stick with well-known companies, or are there lesser-known legit platforms that pay better?
Also, how do you spot scams early? I keep seeing stories of people getting tricked with fake checks and refund requests. Would be great to hear some real tips from anyone who’s been in the game for a while.
