Yes, this is a very stable income once you actually get it off the ground. You don’t see the big spikes and crashes you get in dropshipping, e-commerce, or client work. Software is more like pushing a snowball down a hill, it might take a year before it starts moving on its own, but once it does, it doesn’t really stop as long as you keep doing your job. That’s when the income becomes genuinely stable.
But getting there takes time. I didn’t pay myself a single dollar from Atlas until we were already doing around a quarter million a month, because we had to reinvest everything into the team. I also had two co-founders who needed salaries, and I was the one with the most savings, so I chose to be last to get paid. So yeah , it can take a while, but once it hits, it’s very stable.
