Yes, it really depends on what you build, but software is honestly one of the most scalable models online. If the problem you’re solving is broad enough, you could have hundreds of millions of people using your product monthly, it can scale insanely far.
But at the same time, the competitive edge in software is getting tougher because the barrier to entry keeps dropping. People see what you’re doing, copy it, and move fast. If you just set it and forget it, someone else will come in and outrun you.
That’s why I don’t look at this as passive at all. My biggest moat isn’t the tech or the product, it’s my pace. As long as we’re moving faster than everyone else, we’re good. But if you’re trying to turn it into a long-term thing, you can’t treat it like a passive model.
