Yes, you can choose your own hours. I decide when I shoot and how much I take on. I do have full-day wedding shoots sometimes, but that is by choice and I plan for those. Day to day, the schedule is flexible. Editing can be done whenever, and I like having control over my time. You do need to be responsive to inquiries and messages though, because that is a big part of booking work in this field.
