Stable income: Somewhat stable

Based on online research and my own experience, digital illustration can be a moderately stable source of income for most people who try it. While there is decent baseline income potential, it can be unreliable at times due to fluctuations in demand and client availability. Some illustrators consistently earn, but others may experience variability in their monthly earnings. I'd rate it a 3 out of 5 because while there is potential for consistent income, it is not as stable as a traditional job paycheck.
