From my experience and observations on platforms like Reddit and YouTube, many aspiring screenwriters have unrealistic expectations about passive income. They often underestimate the competition and the need for continuous active involvement in writing, pitching, and networking. In summary, while passive income is possible, it is not the norm and is typically achieved by a small number of successful screenwriters. Most rely on active work and related income streams to sustain their careers.
