Passive income: NO

Earning passive income from selling used items is challenging and rare. Most people actively source, list, and ship items, which requires ongoing effort. To make it passive, one would need to automate sourcing (e.g., using software to find deals), outsource listing and shipping (e.g., hiring virtual assistants or using fulfillment services), and establish a consistent supply chain. However, this setup is complex and costly, making it feasible only for a few outliers with significant initial investment and expertise. Most sellers remain active participants, and myths about easy passive income often mislead newcomers. From my experience and community insights, passive income in this field is more of an exception than the norm.
