Passive income: NO
Earning passive income as a painter is challenging and rare. Most painters earn actively through commissions or sales. To make it passive, one would need to create a system where art sells without ongoing effort, such as licensing artwork for prints or merchandise. This requires significant upfront work and marketing. Few achieve this level, often due to the need for a strong brand and audience. Many fall for the myth that passive income is easily attainable without realizing the effort needed to establish such systems. Realistically, it becomes passive for those with a unique style and strong market presence, but not for most.
