Amazon FBA is 100% remote. You never need to touch a product, visit a warehouse, or meet a customer in person.
The entire workflow is digital:
- Product research: Done online with tools like Jungle Scout or Helium 10
- Supplier sourcing: Communicate via Alibaba, email, or WeChat
- Inventory shipping: Suppliers ship directly to Amazon's warehouses
- Listing creation: Done in Amazon Seller Central
- PPC advertising: Managed through Amazon's ad console
- Customer service: Amazon handles it through FBA
- Financials: Track through Seller Central dashboard or tools like Sellerboard
Many successful FBA sellers run their businesses while traveling, living abroad, or working from coffee shops. All you need is a laptop, internet, and access to your Amazon account.
The only exception is if you do retail or online arbitrage (buying products in physical stores to resell) — that requires in-person shopping. But standard private label FBA is fully remote.
